Back to work!
That's it then. Christmas is over, the decorations will come down in a couple of days. We're back in the world of work - travel, teaching, ministry, the Annual Report (still unfinished), the Mission School, paying bills, dealing with bureaucracy... We went to the car insurance office in Budapest to get a new Green Card for international travel because we can't rely on them or the postal service to get one to us before Thursday.
It's still cold! Our woodpile is reducing in size alarmingly fast as we feed the big tiled stove, but there's nothing like a real fire.
Our tiny Asus netbook with a faulty keyboard now has a permanent place in the kitchen providing BBC Radio 4 via the internet and a pair of cheap speakers. It works most of the time. What we're waiting for is the time when the BBC finally sees sense and allows us to watch TV via the BBC iPlayer. What's the point of having TV on the internet if you can only watch it in the UK?
All the time we are amazed at God's goodness. We're in the right place at the right time, doing the right things. We are so blessed!
